All data on satradar.com and in the SatRadar apps comes from these public datasets.

• Orbital elements: CelesTrak — auto-refreshing two-line element sets for ~10k active satellites every session.
• Historical archive: Space-Track — archival element sets back to 1962 used in the screensaver’s decade-walk sequence.
• Background stars: ESA Gaia DR3 — 100k+ stars with calibrated apparent magnitudes.
• Country borders: Natural Earth — 1:50m public-domain administrative outlines.
• Earth imagery: NASA Earth Observatory + Visible Earth — daytime + nighttime composites.
• Sputnik 1 launch TLE (1957): hand-curated from the well-documented launch parameters (65.10° inclination, 215 × 939 km, 96.2-min period). gp_history archives don’t go back this far.
